04 November, 2016 Debenhams Christmas Beauty Picks

Debenhams recently got in touch with me to take a look at their current Christmas campaign, and choose a selection of goodies that I think are perfect for gifting. They were also generous enough to ask me to get a blogger pal involved, so I asked my gorgeous friend Amy Farquhar to come along with me. Her Youtube channel is fab, so def check her out for great tutorials and reviews, and you can find her blog post on our day together here.

Their Oxford Street store is MASSIVE and packed with amazing brands, including new launches like Make Up For Ever and Kat Von D, plus blogger faves Urban Decay, Too Faced and Illamasqua.

I based my beauty picks around gift-able treats my loved ones would be thrilled to receive, with a focus on my grandma, my mum and my sister. They’re all beauty fanatics so the ginormous array of limited edition kits and new releases in Debenhams left me completely spoilt for choice.

For my mum: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Quad Eyeshadow Palette in Rust (£21)

My mum LOVES eyeshadow, and she typically picks shades that are more cool-toned – so to switch it up a bit I went for the new Kat Von D eyeshadow quad in this rusty, warm-toned selection. They’re all matte colours, making them a lovely everyday option, as well as a handy palette to pair with shimmers and glitters, and the stunning, slightly gothic packaging is just what she likes. I loved testing out all the colours Kat Von D offer, and I’d have probably picked up the Rust option for myself too – you all know I LOVE a warm-toned eyeshadow.

For my grandma: Tom Ford Velvet Orchid Rollerball (£29)

Glamorous and sophisticated, there’s nothing quite like a Tom Ford fragrance. Debenhams carry the new rollerball sizes, which are a decent price compared to the usually extortionate cost of the Tom Ford larger bottles. I chose Velvet Orchid, a musky scent with fruity notes she’d really enjoy. If you’re looking to give a little luxury this year, but can’t justify the up to £100 for a bottle of the good stuff, this rollerball is for you.

For my sister: Too Faced Let It Glow Gift Set (£22)

My sister Katie is vegan, and she only buys brands that are cruelty free. Too Faced cater to both needs, and their unashamedly cute packaging was made for gifting. She keeps her collection fairly neutral and matte, so I wanted to add some shimmer, and that’s why I love this little set. With a bronzer, highlighter and blusher, it’s great for travelling, and the colour payoff is pigmented yet subtle. I love the mini blusher in the shade Love Flush as it’s so universally flattering, and the mini heart-shaped brush is to die for!

Make sure to check out the Debenhams Christmas selection this year, and let me know in the comments what you like from my picks, and what you plan on getting for your loved ones this year!
