Another EPIC Sephora Haul

Another EPIC Sephora Haul

08 December, 2015 Another EPIC Sephora Haul

Like many beauty bloggers, Sephora is my kryptonite. I can’t resist endlessly browsing the myriad colours, textures and pigments housed in their huge online store, and I’m constantly adding products to my shopping basket and wishlist. As it’s coming up to Christmas, I thought I would treat myself to some gorgeous goodies I had been coveting for a while.

Sephora Haul 1

Too Faced Natural Matte Eye Palette (£25.27/$36 here): I had been looking for an all-matte eyeshadow palette for a while, and this gorgeous selection offers the perfect balance of warm, neutral and cool tones. Matte eyeshadows are fantastic for creating subtle definition in everyday looks, or providing a base for shimmers and glitters on a night out. These shades are creamy, pigmented, and they all blend beautifully too. My favourites are Cashmere Bunny (light taupe) for an all-over lid shade, Strapless (muted red-brown) in the crease, and Chocolate Cookie (deep chocolate-brown) blended into the outer corners.

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer (£21.06/$30 here): matte, cool-toned bronzers are hard to come by, which is why I’m so glad that I picked up this beautiful bronzer (also from Too Faced). It has fantastic pigmentation, smells like chocolate, and blends easily for a subtle yet sculpted look. This is great on pale girls as a contour-bronzer duo, and it works equally well to intensify natural tans. It doesn’t look ashy, but it isn’t orange either – it’s perfect!

Dr. Jart+ PORE MEDIC Pore Minish Mist (£21.06/$30 here): Korean skincare is my new obsession, and Dr. Jart+ has a fantastic reputation for creating amazing products that provide solutions for oily complexions. The Pore Minish Mist is a toner-powder hybrid, that provides oil control, and sets makeup too. I use this pre-makeup application as a toner before moisturiser to help keep oil under control, and then once I’ve finished applying eye, cheek and lip products, I use this to set everything and lock sh*t down. It’s the only two-in-one product that extends the wear of my makeup and keeps shine at bay, and I’m so impressed. Expect a full review of this and the Pore Minish Primer very soon!

Dr. Jart+ PORE MEDIC Pore Minish Primer (£22.46/$32 here): I can’t resist trying a new primer, and this one really caught my attention. It has a silicone texture that doesn’t feel greasy, and it mattifies without drying out my complexion. It offers fantastic skincare benefits too, and includes mushroom, bergamot, orange and eucalyptus to brighten, mattify and control oil production throughout the day. This is great applied on top of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (review here), if you really want to keep your base locked down for a good 48 hours (or more, who knows). The Hourglass primer smooths and makes makeup waterproof, whilst the Pore Minish Primer (applied topically) mattifies and controls oil. Would absolutely recommend this if you’re an oily-skinned gal!

BECCA Champagne Glow Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Palette (£45 here): this was the product that I was most excited about receiving. There has been so much hype surrounding Jaclyn Hill’s collaboration with BECCA, so I knew I had to pick up this limited edition palette stocked exclusively at Sephora. Inside, you’ll find three shades: Pearl, a white-based cream highlight with intense shimmer, Champagne Pop, a creamy peach-gold, and Blushed Copper, a rose-gold bronze with intense copper shimmer. These three shades are stunning, and are incredibly versatile too. I like to wear Pearl as an inner-corner highlight or for a pop of colour in the lids, whereas Champagne Pop is a classic all-over highlight shade for an intense boost of dewy glow. Blushed Copper is a trickier one to apply, but when you get it right, it looks divine. I like it popped onto the apples of cheeks and blended thoroughly with a fluffy brush. Sadly this sold out pretty quickly so there’s no availability on Sephora’s online store – however, it’s widely available on eBay.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita (£18.25/$26 here): this was a bit of a random one – I’d heard this was a gorgeous, universally-flattering shade, but I saw that NARS was unavailable for UK shipping. Taking my chances, I added it to my shopping basket and proceeded to checkout – and it went through! I still have no idea how this worked out but I’m glad I bought it anyway. The shade is a gorgeous warm red-pink, that’s neutral enough for everyday wear, but still makes an impact on a night out.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in #13 Marvellous Mauve (£9.83/$14 here): Allana Davison, aka my new Youtube obsession, is always raving about this shade on Snapchat – and she seems to be slowly converting all her fans into lovers of this beautiful, lip colour! It’s a stunning mauve-berry, and I love the formula too. I’ll definitely be picking more of the Sephora Cream when I head to the U.S. this Christmas.

Besame Brightening Violet Powder (£15.44/$22 here): I hadn’t heard much about the brand Besame before I placed this order, but the gorgeous vintage-inspired packaging and unusual premise really spoke to me. The brightening properties in lavender apparently help to counteract dullness, and the matte finish makes skin totally creaseless and cake-free. I’ll report back with my thoughts, but for now I’m enjoying it – it  has a lovely scent, too.

I’d love to know about your recent Sephora purchases, or the products from Sephora that you’ve got on your wishlist. Don’t forget to check out my previous Sephora hauls here, here and here!

I’ll be posting twice a week instead of my usual three until January, as work is mental and I’m heading off to Costa Rica for a holiday. My normal schedule will resume in the new year!

Happy Tuesday!
