11 September, 2015 Korres Basil Lemon Body Milk
After a rather rubbish British Summer, I’m seriously missing the beautiful breezes, pristine beaches and endless sunshine of the Amalfi Coast and Mykonos, where I visited in June and July respectively. Since returning home to London, I’ve been on a mission to recapture the spirit of summer, and I think I’ve found it – albeit in bottled form.
The Korres Basil Lemon Body Milk (£10 here) is a refreshing, lightweight and deliciously scented lotion that absorbs quickly and hydrates without a hint of stickiness. Sweet almond oil, aloe and shea butter intensively nourish dry skin, whilst making sure skin feels satin-soft without any residue or greasy film. The milky texture feels so cooling, and is fantastic on sunburnt patches.
Basil and lemon make the perfect combination, and there’s nothing heavy or cloying here. It makes a great base to layer fragrance on top of, and one perfume I love to spritz this with is Diptyque’s Tam Dao Eau De Toilette (read my review here).
The packaging is beautiful too. I love how minimal and vibrant the tube is, and it looks lovely on my bathroom shelf. I’ve got my eye on a couple of their shower gels, which all sound divine! Korres has quickly become one of my new favourite beauty brands, and along with their Basil Lemon Body Milk, the Nectarine and Watermelon Face Masks regularly feature in my weekly skincare routine. They offer an extensive selection of skincare that is totally natural and nasty-free, and caters to the majority of skin concerns.
