Face Mask Friday #18 With Korres

Face Mask Friday - Korres

14 August, 2015 Face Mask Friday #18 With Korres

My trip to Mykonos involved a lot of sun, sea and sand, but very little shopping. It was the month of beauty-hauling abstinence (aka #NoBuyJuly), and I was committed to keeping my bank account as full as possible. However, I worked through a little beauty loophole. My parents were kind enough to slip a few Korres goodies into their shopping baskets during a pre-dinner walk around town, and I came home with two gorgeous face masks that are perfect on their own, or combined for a little multi-masking. Let’s begin!

Face Mask Friday - Korres

The Korres Nectarine Velvet Moisturising Mask is like a souped-up version of the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask – it’s heavenly scented, richly textured and does a fantastic job of nourishing dry, flaky skin. The main ingredients are almond, macadamia and olive oils, along with nectarine extract. I can’t explain how fruity and divine the fragrance is – it makes this mask such a pleasure to use, and it never feels too heavy or intense. I like to use this mask on any dry areas, with cheeks and my forehead being the most common places. I can imagine this being a godsend for very dry skin as an overnight treatment or a 10-minute mask before makeup application, as it does a great job of plumping and smoothing the complexion!

Next up, the Korres Watermelon Cool Refreshing Mask. This has become one of my favourite mid-week masks: something to soothe and hydrate my stressed, dull skin, and impart moisture without making skin feel tacky or greasy. There are teeny granules that don’t seem to do much, but they do offer a little manual exfoliation when I wash off the mask. It cools on the skin after a few minutes and feels nice and tingly, and it’s great after a day of basking in the sun! The scent for me is quite overwhelming – more reminiscent of gummy bears than watermelon – but you get used to it after a while, and the results of the mask makes it all worth it!

Have you tried either of these hydrating and nourishing face masks? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below, along with your thoughts on other Korres products that you’ve tried!

Happy Weekend!

They’re incredible – so yummy! They’re a great brand, have a look on ASOS as they do fantastic bodycare too – and very reasonably priced! X

I haven’t tried any skincare from Korres, but these both sound amazing. The packaging is so cute too! I really like the Origins drink up intensive, so I may have to try the Nectarine one!
