27 January, 2015 Shopping My Stash #8
Two recent rediscoveries I found from rifling through my makeup collection are the Bourjois ‘Little Round Pot’ Cream Blushes in Healthy Glow and Rose Tender. I received both of these in various British Beauty Blogger boxes from Latest In Beauty, and was really impressed with the texture and finish – creamy, blendable, and with just a hint of sheen without any glitter particles. I then discovered the Benefit Majorette Cream Blush a few months later, and these were sadly forgotten.
The Bourjois ‘Little Round Pot’ blushers are seriously versatile – you can wear them on their own, sheered out with a buffing brush or fingers, or layered for an intense pop of colour. Because they’re matte and so long-wearing, you can also wear them as lip stains. They’re easy to wear over powder or liquid foundation, although I find they last the longest on a matte base, rather than a dewy, tinted moisturiser-esque one.
When comparing the two blushers with the Benefit Majorette Cream Blush, the Bourjois offerings last far longer and there’s a more intense, less patchy colour payoff.
Healthy Glow is a gorgeous, coral-peach shade that would look stunning across a range of skin tones, whilst Rose Tender is more cool toned and rose-based, and would look pretty on paler skins. They both bring a subtle flush to the cheeks without looking shiny or glittery. I have very oily skin (as you’re probably sick of hearing by now) and I find that cream products don’t last too well on my skin, but these blushers really hold their own and don’t slip and slide during the day.
These blushers have been around for ages and are true drugstore staples. They’re great for keeping in your handbag for on-the-go touch-ups and as additions to your holiday makeup bag too, as they’re so effortless and easy to wear.
You can buy the Bourjois Little Round Pots for £7.99 here.
