18 December, 2014 What’s New: Sanctuary Comforting Night Butter
After a tiring shift at work, there’s nothing better than coming home and indulging in a pamper session. Most people reserve these for the evening, but I live by the philosophy that there’s no time like the present, and will happily hop into the bath with candles and a face mask whether it’s 3am or 3pm.
A recent purchase from Sanctuary Spa has been a welcome addition to my pampering routine, and it’s the Comforting Night Butter. The products claims to help you unwind before bed, but it works well (at any time of day) as a general use lotion for irritated and dry areas of your body. Think elbows, knees, hands, heels and legs.
The butter consistency is incredibly nourishing but also very light and creamy, making it a dream to apply. Ingredients include Mango and Shea Butter for their softening properties, and Ylang Ylang, Frankincense and Patchouli for their fragrant and calming aromas. The scent of the product is Christmassy and warming, and lingers on the skin once applied. That being said, it’s not cloying or heavy, and if you put it on before going out for the day, it won’t disrupt any perfume or body spray you apply after.
Applied to damp skin, this is lovely after a bath, and also works really well as an intensive foot mask – apply liberally, pop on some sleep socks, and leave on for about eight hours!
Overall I’m loving this gorgeous body butter, and it’s a further testament to how brilliant a brand Sanctuary Spa is.
